Cormoran Orejon
Chromaluxe printed photographs.
The double-crested cormorant is a large waterbird known for its striking dark plumage and distinctive double crests during the breeding season. Found predominantly in North America, this species thrives in a variety of habitats including coastal areas, lakes, and rivers. The cormorant is an adept diver, using its strong, webbed feet to propel itself underwater in search of fish. When resting, it often perches with its wings outstretched to dry, owing to its less water-resistant feathers. This bird plays a significant role in its ecosystem, controlling fish populations and serving as an indicator of environmental health.
